He has overseen analysis for numerous epidemiologic projects and has published extensively in the areas of antioxidants and oxidative damage. His experience includes serving as principal investigator of the laboratory core for the University of Minnesota CPRU program project, co-principal investigator of YALTA and as co-investigator of several clinical trials and epidemiologic studies emphasizing diet, genetics and biological markers. His laboratory has served as an analytical facility for several multicenter studies including CARDIA, ARIC and CATCH. Sample tracking, data handling, biochemical analysis and sample storage for large epidemiologic studies are a routine part of his laboratory.
